Charles Ager have been selling shoes since their first shop was founded in the early nineteenth century in West Orchard, Coventry. More than a century and a half later and six generations down the line, the family business is still going strong and is in the hands of Christopher Ager Hart.
Zarr first teamed up with Charles Ager back in 2005 where the initial brief was to provide an ecommerce website that would enable Charles Ager to sell their shoes over the internet. Since then Zarr have given the website 3 upgrades and re-designs to bring the funtionality and also the look and feel up to date. The most recent update was completed in 2009.
Zarr's relationship with Charles Ager has been a long and successful one. The two businesses have grown together over the last four years and as Zarr has improved and expanded their products and services, they have been able to upgrade and improve the Charles Ager website.
In 2007 Charles Ager had an EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) system installed across their shops. This allows Charles Ager to capture sales and monitor stock levels. Zarr have integrated this system into the website so that all the information on the website is taken directly from the EPOS. This has given Charles Ager a more efficient and cost effective website.
