Background
Modelenium sells die cast models to a worldwide audience from their shop in Warwick. The business was taken over by new owners who wanted to grow the company significantly.

Modelenium sees their website as playing an important role in their business growth, especially in order to serve their international customers.
Zarr outlined a solution to bring the business to the next level. This went further than just improving the website – it meant improving all the business operations so that the company could handle the increased orders efficiently. Modelenium commissioned Zarr Retailer Gold.
Solution
Zarr Retailer Gold involved developing a central web-based database which is the hub of the entire system. This allows stock levels to be accurately recorded, regardless of where the order came from. The solution is an entirely integrated system which spans the Internet, telephone orders and retail outlet sales.
Modelenium have a streamlined system which allows them to operate a highly professional website, an in-store retail system and a real-time stock control system. The solution covers everything from stock control to order picking, dispatch and invoicing.
No expensive computer equipment was necessary as the system is driven from the Internet. Zarr handles all backups of the data so that the system is safe from theft and disaster.
Information is recorded centrally, regardless of whether the order is placed in-store or via the Internet, telephone or mail-order.
The ‘in-store’ part of the system runs from any modern PC with an Internet connection. When a sale is made in the shop or store, the central stock database records the sale. Telephone and mail-order orders are recorded in the same way.
