Background
V Sports is a Coventry based retailer, selling Cricket Equipment all over the world. V Sports has been established since 1984 and has ammassed a huge client base. The company supplier all the major cricket brands such and Gunn & Moore, Kookaburra and Gray Nicolls, as well as making their own custom made products.

The Brief
Vsports have a retail shop based in Coventry. The shop has an EPOS system that was developed by Zarr to link in with the stock control of the website. The shop can become very busy in the build up to the Cricket season therefore it was important that the system be quick, efficient and easy to use.

The Results
The V Sports website was launched with a new Administration and EPOS system in early 2007. The shop has a Internet based EPOS system as a till, which is linked with a barcode reading system for speed of use. The management area of the webiste allows V Sports to manage stock for the online and offline parts of the business in one place. Commonly companies running websites as well as retail shops have problems managing stock as the two systems run independantly.

V Sports' business is seasonal therefore at points during the year they are incredibly busy in both the shop and for Internet sales. The integrated system allows them to keep on top of stock and ensure that they never run out of anything at the crucial time. Recently Zarr have began Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) on the website to assist with maximising sales from abroad over the quieter winter months. The results of this are already showing are expected to improve over the following months.
