Background
Sitting Firm is a traditional English furniture manufacturer based on Coventry, selling primarily to trade buyers in the UK and overseas.

The Brief
Sitting Firm wanted a website that would illustrate the quality and craftsmanship of their products. The site would need to support their marketing to trade buyers and increase the number of trade buyers they do business with. It was also seen as a way to explore the retail market with the view to possibly selling direct to the general public.

The Solution
Zarr developed the site, which displays their range of over 200 products so that it can be updated as new products are added to the range or new materials introduced. Visitors to the site can see full product details, including size and materials and send a wish list of products they are interested in to Sitting Firm. The site has been built so that price details and full e-commerce functionality can be added quickly and at limited cost should Sitting Firm decide in the future they want to sell on-line.

The Results
The site is an excellent showcase for Sitting Firm products and has already attracted media interest.

Within 1 week of the new site being launched Sitting Firm had their first enquiry from a new trade buyer in Italy, within 2 months of launch they had almost 100 enquiries from the site and more than 60 people registered to be kept informed about future product launches and special offers, including 26 trade contacts. All of this was achieved even before any on-line promotion of the site.
