The Zarr Team

Getting Fruity to Tackle Obesity Worries
Zarr is getting fruity to help a Birmingham business in its bid to tackle Britain’s rising obesity worries and promote healthy eating. An online idea generated by fruit supplier Minor, Weir and Willis (MWW) to encourage more of Britain’s shoppers to try exotic produce, has been developed by Zarr through the website: www.mww.co.uk.

The website provides information, photos and video clips on how to prepare and cook exotic fruits. MWW is confident that the new website will help educate the general public. The website www.mww.co.uk includes details of a range of unusual fruit and veg, including:

  • Cherimoya (custard apple) – this Spanish fruit’s creamy, vanilla-flavoured flesh tastes like custard or ice cream
  • Rambutan – a hairier version of the lychee, originating from Indonesia and Thailand
  • Tamarind – sometimes known as the ‘Indian date’, a brittle brown, knobbly pod with a distinctive fudge flavour

Export Success Recognised
Zarr client, Markes International Limited, has just won the title of Welsh Exporter of the Year 2004. The Llantrisant-based analytical instrumentation manufacturer services an international client base.

Pamela Simpson, Markes' Product and Marketing Manager, commented that initially most of their export contacts came via the web! Zarr’s clients have access to detailed visitor reports, including the facility to see from which countries website visitors come.

Delivering on Time
Zarr is delighted to welcome Glen Deathridge to its team. As a former postman, Glen's ability to deliver on time will help Zarr successfully service our growing customer base! Carol Collins, director of communications for TFIC, said: “The TFIC is responding to the enormous demand for image consultants, particularly in the corporate world."
